My brakes have been squeeking a lot during the winter months. I took the car in twice to the dealership, the first time they serviced the brakes. The noise didn't go away altogether but it did decrease. Now they are squeeking again, and squeeking loud. I took the car back to the dealership and they told me b/c it's a performance vehicle the brakes require some sort of metallic compound that make the brakes squeek.

There's another lady at work who is experiencing a similar problem.

Are any of you having this problem? Is the brake story that the dealership is giving me bs or could it be true?
