Hey N rider89, your car looks like an exact copy of mine except you have the steering wheel the wrong way round :P

Thanks for the comments guys, I don't like the silver lug nuts, will get some black ones or even red ones when I paint the calipers red.

Mine cost around $380 in the UK, it includes the wheels being refurbished so would say it was very cost effective

lucan that looks great on white and g4crx that is a great looking 8
i think i may just go with it because i only have to pay for the removal of the tires from my rims and the powder coat is going to be done for free

i think if your going to powder coat then do it like a gunmetal dark gray or something like that... I think you lose the wheel when its all black like that... I have seen pics on the board of an 8 with the wheels coated a gunmetal color.

But honestly.... if its going to cost you around $400 just save up for some good wheels... If you take the $400 you would spend on the powdercoat, then factor in selling your stockers for $400... so thats $800 already... Your almost there

Oh and dont forget $600 from pres. dubbya's economic stimulus package HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

I would say springs would fall into the cheap mod catagory, maybe you meant coilovers.

Let's not turn this thread into a money thing or cheap vs. inexpensive mods. The amount of money spent does not always equal quality.

I also have my Stock rims painted. They were that way when I bought the car. The previous owner had done it... the only problem is he spray painted them... not powder coat. So they are starting to look REALLY janky.

But its cool im gonna be getting coilovers and rims here in a bit anyways.

But if done right the stock rims painted can look pretty nice. It's a cheap way to have some different shoes on your baby without paying to much dough for it.

i second that. I have plans to powdercoat mine this summer. I have a BB 8 and can't decide if i want to go all black or black with the chrome lip. I've seen one with all black and the silver lip but none with a chrome painted lip...

The pics don't do it justice as the gloss don't show on them.

Yeah lower it, I just got the Mazda lowering springs which is not too low but still lokks good. Even with the MS kit it clears the speed humps here in the UK fine.
