I'm thinking black with the silver lip or just gold on my Copper Red.

I dont think I have seen stock painted rims anywhere on an rx8 tho. anyone got any pictures to share?

This one is dhrx8's avatar. So it's kind of small. But it does have the silver lip.

But i like the gold on copper red look more

 

Powdercoat Steel Grey Metallic... very light metallic flake, but when the sun shines it gleams...

 

I guess i'd photoshop my car with either gun metal, gold (why am i talking about silver? they are already silver lol) rims to see. Might do it with a silver lip for the gunmetal ones.

Lol, i was thinking, you're gonna buy shiny silver paint to make it look chrome-ish?

I forgot how much people said it was, but i think it was $50-$75 per wheel.
I read from an old post that this guy bought a black powder coat spray can for $6.99 at autozone and he did them himself.

 

I don't think there "powdercoat can sprays"...but I could be wrong

IF you get them done professionally they would sand bast them and clear coat them really well for you....

im thinkin gold or gunmetal with that polished lip! has to be way cheaper than gettin new rims!

Been thinking about this for a little while now, and was wondering if anyone has a black 8 with the stock rims powdercoated gun metal.

 

As a Copper Red 8 owner myself i prefer to go with the gunmetal
But thats just my personal taste

 

any silver's with gold or black oem wheels? :S

 

Red is also a favorite of mine with gunmetal wheels!

Although my 8 is BB and just trying to get an idea how it looks with stock gunmetal wheels. The new black gt-r looks awesome with gunmetal wheels. And photo shopping its still really hard to get a good feel for how it would look.


Not trying to change this to a gt-r thread it is just the best example I have been able to find with a black car w/ gunmetal wheels (Not to offend anyone but my personal preference - without a chrome/silver lip)

Hey Arc the rims looks nice, except you painted your brake pads red too. Applied with spray I gather.

 

The rotory Center cap is sweet.
