Try to be more specific on exactly what you want. All weather? Performance? comfort? Here is a good place to start.

In my case, I'm looking for a recommendation on some good autocross tires for (street) STU. I've heard that Falken RT-615 are really good for this application. Anyone concur or have a better suggestion? I need more lateral grip.

Maximum Traction = Falken RT-615 (at the expense of tire tread life)
Best Overall Tire = Michelin Pilot Sport 2's (but $$$), Goodyear GS-D3's (also $$$)
Best Overall Tire/inexpensive = Toyo T1R

I've got Kumho MX's 275/35-18. They are real good, only issue is that they are kind of noisy though for the street.

I got the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 for both street and autocross/track. So far, I think they're great tires. They came in first in Car and Driver's comparison of summer performance tires, and Tire Rack surveys speak pretty highly of them too. I've done a couple autocrosses with them and I like the way they stick - no sudden transitions or nasty surprises. The 225/40 18's were $182 each. Note they are summer only tires.
