Ruff Racing Wheels

Hey guys, I was looking around for information on Ruff Racing Wheels and I cannot find any information on how heavy they are, the quality of the wheels, etc etc. I was looking at getting the Ruff Racing 278 19" 8.5 in fronts and 9.5 in the rears. I was just wondering if anyone has any kind of experience with these wheels, if they are lighter/same/heavier than stock wheels and if they are any good for the money (set of 4 for $800-$900 staggered)

Here are some pics of the wheels. It looks to be Hyper Black finish on the 8 and Chromed on the Z.

There is a little thread on them here, not sure if it will give you and info
https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...highlight=Ruff

I would imagine that they are pretty heavy though.

Yeh I've done the search already, none of the threads had any information on weight or quality.

Why is it so hard to get the weights? You'd think every manufacturer would have the weight on their site with all the models. It's darn near impossible to get accurate weights for these things, without calling dealers who ship them. THEN they know the weight.

Looks like those 19x8.5 are weighing in at 28lbs each and the 19x9.5 at 31lbs each.

Holy Cow, talk about tipping the scales!

You guys really aren't familiar with www.wheelweights.net ? Perhaps their info was wrong and it was discussed in one of the aforementioned threads...

For answers, pm ChrisM or NYC Drift King. ChrisM had Ruff Racing wheels on his 8 and then sold them to NYC Drift King.

Definately not my cup of tea but +1 w/what tiltmode said.

there's other websites that can give you an insight on wheel weights as well.

i usually check out the wheels on www.1010tires.com - they usually have the wheel weights w/each rim. Not sure if they've updated everything but i know when i was looking at Enkei's, they had all the wheel weights and description.

When I bought my car the previous owner had JUST installed a set of these ruff racing wheels.
They have a really clean chrome finish to them.
They are kinda heavy, but they look great and I haven't had any problems with them.
Mine are 20's and 10" wide in the back and I'm not sure of the front width.
No clearance issues at all.
Here is a picture.

Not lowered.
It came with a set of some off brand lowering springs in a box.
They weren't installed.
I think there would be clearance issues if it was lowered though.
They don't rub the way they are, but they are CLOSE.
They look great on this car and that isn't the best picture for the wheels.
Centercap's off in that picture too.

Also, where I live, lowered cars aren't very practical haha.
Especially with a body kit of any kind.

I do not like Ruff Racing wheels but that does not matter...

Anyway from our Vendor section, RX Motor Sports

https://www.rx8club.com/showpost.php...32&postcount=3

18 8.5 weight 21 lbs.
18 9.5 weight 22.5 lbs
19 8.5 weight 24. lbs
19 9.5 weight 26.5 lbs

Avg weight for a single pc wheel.

Here is my RuFF Racing wheels. Their are the same as the second pic silver Rx8 u posted...

My opinion; The rims are great. They are durable, and not to heavy. I have autocrossed, and draged with them. Even though they are a littel heavier than stock; I do feel i get a better performance out of them.

Every time I tell someone to search, someone comes in right behind me and posts pics or gives the answer
