Rubbing question

First of all I just joined the club.... I have had my RX-8 since June of 04.... I just bought some 19/9.5 and 19/8.5 Volk racing SF Challenges for my 8. I was going to lower the car with some springs...I was going with Eibach springs the street ones which just lower down anywhere from .08 to 1.2 " I was wondering if I went with 275/30/19 on the back if I would have a problem with the tires rubbing....thanks guies.... Also I just did order my Greddy turbo Kit so it will be in in about 3 weeks... the down side of all this is I'm in Iraq until Nov but hey I'm upgrading as I can go....What else am I going to do online but look for things to buy for my car and end up buying them..... Any answers on this will be appreciated... thanks
RJ

First off thank you!!! My neighbor has been in Iraq for about a month. 11 more to go.

Rims. Speaking from experience with 19x8F 40mm offset / 19x9.5R 35mm offset & lowering springs (about an inch all around) I did have to roll the rear fenders a bit. No big deal just made me nervous! So depending on your offsets you may or may not rub. Do you know what they are?

I got a similar setup recently. I got the Stern Wheels with 8.5" (front) & 9.5" (back) 38 mm offset up front & 35 mm in the back. I was going to go with the 275's but the person that I had bought the wheels from has outfitted several RX8's & he told me that if I had any type of drop (I have the RB springs) the 275's would rub unless I rolled the fenders. I wound up getting the 265's (265/30/19's). Good luck & thank you for your service.

Thanks alot guies.... Actually you just brought me to another question... what exactly is rolling your fenders.... I have never herd of that.... but any way my offset is 42mm on the front and 40mm in the back.,.... this is what was suggested from Volk.......With the rear offset being what it is do you still think it will rub with 275 tires and eibach springs...... thanks alot guies....

I did some searching for you...
http://www.robsaudiworld.com/fender.htm
https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...rolling+fender

I couldnt find 19x9.5 with 40mm offset but here is IMO the sweetest car on the site,
https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...ghlight=19x9.5
He went with 36mm in the rear and i dont think he rolled his fenders. But he also has coilovers so he may have it raised just a bit in the rear so he doesnt rub.
Im thinking you'll be safe with 40mm's but if you do have to roll the fenders its not a prob as long as youre using a tool like the one in the thread above. I did use "heat" to ensure no cracking...
(I wouldnt worry about the fronts at all. Should look nice all the way around!)
