Rotor suggestions

Looking for rotors for daily use. I'd like some that don't rust all to hell like the stock ones do. Suggestions? Cheap places to shop?

Other vendors have the same rotors and don't have a derogatory past.

I think its time for another "RaceRoots comes clean" thread Bump

I like my Racing Brake slotted/curved vane rotors from Race Roots.

All rotors will develop 'flash" rust after getting wet. It 'burns off' the first time you subsequently use the brakes.

btw: I also like Hawk Performance Ceramic brake pads (also from RR). Low dust and almost silent operation.

I just placed an order for pretty much the same package as in post number 2 from RR. And yes I know about the past occurrences and the thread. But to be honest he has some good prices and ive always had good communication with him and fast shipping.

For daily driving, I've always thought solid rotors make more sense. More surface area = more heat transfer = more stopping power, at least for daily driving conditions.

the newer OEM rotors ordered from Mazda are painted black in the centers so there is no more rust problem.

I have drilled and slotted all the way around. If I recall I spent like $250 for them new about 2 years ago. I don't recall where I found them but just search around you will find a cheap set online somewhere. Good luck.

Had the wheels off the other day while getting new tires put on. Took the opportunity to measure my rotor thickness and check pad life. Still enough life left on both to hold off on them for a bit longer. BUT when its time for new rotors, I'll be going with Centric. Cheap and very effective it seems.
