Yes you do, the base autos have smaller diameter brakes.

Just so you guys know, these rotors won't help you stop faster. I've done a lot of research on the net, and basically since you are removing material from a heat sink, it won't be able to absorb as much heat. It's pretty negligible, but still....

But they sure as hell look sexy. I have slotted on my ZX2... LoL

They may not help you stop faster (good pads will though) but they definitely do not hurt braking performance either compared to the stock rotors (these are essentially s
tock centric rotors). Very little material is being removed.

And if you did research you would know that:

"Slotted brake rotors u*se slots carved into the flat metal surface
to move gas, heat and water away from the surface of the rotors.
You can think of the slots as irrigation ditches that move the unwanted materials safely out of the way."

Well its obvious that more surface area = more friction = more stopping power = more heat, but the reason one might get slotted / dimpled rotors is if they stress their brakes enough that they need better heat dissipation to prevent damage to the rotors.

most people who track prefer blank rotors over slotted or dimpled, cross drilled is a definite nono,

modern pads dont really emit that much gas so effects of slots or holes on your braking performance is minimal at best, the only thing they do besides looking good is shortening pad life and randomly cracking on track days

cooling is mostly dependent on vane layout, honestly if your looking for performance, get OEM, or OEM like rotors, unless you upgrade to a lighter 2peice setup

For those of you who have had these for a while, how are they holding up? My originals (which are as old as my car in the rear I think,) are extremely rusty at the hubs and edges. Do these rust much?
Do the stainless lines seem to be good quality?

Mine are holding up great after 1.5 years. No complaints at all.

No problems at all in the last 1-1/2yrs. That includes winter driving as well

I just ordered basically the same, black, minus the dimples.

I just changed all four corners to slotted with red hats.. I also changed pads from hawk hps to racing brake et500. Holy crap these things work. The first hundred miles it took to wear off the coating were average. But after bedding and bluing, it takes a. Day or two to adjust your foot to press lighter

I hate that squeal.

I've had mine for a little under a year, and although the black painted hubs still look good, the slots, drilled holes and edges of the rotors are all pretty rusted. Looks like crap IMO. I know that any rotor will rust if they're not coated, but it seems like all the nooks and crannies were not coated like on more expensive rotors, or maybe the zinc coating on these was just not very durable.
