Replacement coilover shock?

I have a set of D2 coilovers and one of the front shocks is blown/leaking fluid. I emailed them for a replacement and was told their shock cartridges are special order and would probably take over a month for me to get.
I was told by someone else that replacement shock inserts from BC racing would work as well and I emailed BC.
BC racing couldn't confirm or assume any liability for whether or not their shocks would work with my coilovers (which is understandable), but said they could ship same day if they had it in stock and most wait would be 2-3 weeks if they didn't.
Does anyone know for sure if BC racing shock inserts would be interchangeable with a set of D2's or any other coilovers. I know in general D2/Ksport, Megan, BC etc are generic Taiwanese made and in most cases from the same manufacturer. But does anyone know if the shock cartridges are interchangeable among the different brands? I would rather not wait over a month just to get a shock.

Good thing my D2's are off the car and I have stock shocks wit Tein H-techs on right now. Looks like no one has a word on whether the BC's would be compatible.
I emailed K-Sport and they have a replacement compatible (probably because both companies use the same generic manufacturer for parts), it's a little more expensive than D2's replacements and they also would take 2-3 weeks to get the shock, plus shipment time to me.. all for me to get a replacement shock. I'm just thinking of ditching these coilovers for whatever someone wants to pay and getting a set of Powertrix here on the forum.
