Lug Nuts

I could use some help in selecting lug nuts too. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

What I bought.

http://www.good-win-racing.com/Mazda.../21-1058c.html

They're two part lugs. They don't spin and grind into the rim.

Those McGard Spline Drive Lugs look pretty interesting, mysql101. Have you installed them on your car with the Gram Lights? Because I want them in black, I noticed they are also for sale on eBay. (They're a few bucks cheaper too.)

DanRed - The Rays Engineering lug nuts in your link look good too. BigRed - When do you plan on installing the rims?

I plan on installing the day I get them in. Donny said they were shipping like last Monday or Tuesday of this week. Who knows

I wanted to order from a mazda specalist, especially to make sure I don't get some incorrect size lug.

The rims being sold come with a complete set of black rays lug nuts. So you might want to check them out before buying another set. I guess I'll take some pics and put up a FS thread.

Our supplier has run out, so, unfortunately, the wheels are no longer available. Congrats to all who were able to get their hands on these exceptional wheels for such a low price.

Yes, thank you donny. Excellent rims - even if my wife doesn't agree that they're such a great deal (since my car already had wheels). lol

damn.... the tires i have on my stock rims are still pretty new..... i was thinking about having a shop take them off the old rim and but them back on the 57f's if that even possible

I dont have the money to buy the new tires......

looks like these rims might be sitting in the garage for a while...

225/45s will be fine on 8.5s. They'll look slightly stretched, but functionally there will be no problems whatsoever.

Really? awesome

Is it possible for tire shops to cleanly take off the tire from the stock rim and put it on the new one?

i would just wait. people run 245's on stock 8.0" rims. You're going the other direction and running 225 on a 8.5" wide rim...

Im going to run the stock tires until I have enough moolah to buy some decent driving for the street. Im probably going to powdercoat my stockers black and use those as track wheels. I am not a really good driver, racing wise, so it doesnt really matter if I lose a couple of pounds here and there. Ill probably get new tires soon though for street use, hopefully.

I expect my wheels in about a month..... im on the fence about just waiting like mysql101 & nitsua mentioned but i dunno how tempting it will be just having some nice GL's sitting waiting for me in my garage... ... i will probably be working on trying to get some nice lowering springs, sway bars, and drills/slotted rotors to compliment the new wheels....

Hey BigRed,

Did you get them yet? i would love to see the time attack blue on ure car. Also, are you planning on putting on your stock 225 tires on them?

My wheels should ship tommorow. I will definately take pics, but I might not have time to do it instantly cuz im going out of town and i definately cant take pictures of a non waxed car . And yeah, the stock tires should be fine. I think the guy, c0ldflame, has stock tires on. 225s are fine, but when you get new tires just get 245s, or maybe even a little bigger. It would be tempting to wait for wider tires but I dont think its necessary.

but it rained on the way to my friends house... so tomorrow I'll likely car wash then put on the new rims
