Hi everyone. I have a Red 2004 6spd RX-8 with the 18 inch rims. I cracked my front left stock Rim. I have found a couple of places online that has them for a decent price. One is this link here

If you look at the 2 18 inch rims offered one is (Silver, Bright, Exact OEM Match, Quality, Fit And Finish, 18 X 8, 5 Spoke) Then the second 18 inch rim shows to be (Bright Polished, Exact OEM Match, Quality, Fit And Finish, 18 X 8, 5 Spokes) for 312.00. I guess my main question is. Do the stock OEM wheels come Silver Bright or are they Bright Polished? I hate to order the rim and it not match. My rims look like every other RX-8 18 inch rims i see on the road so I am confused.

I also found this website http://www.getapart.com and emailed them asking a quote on a used rim. They ask in there online question if you have have
(18x8 (alloy, 5 spoke), dull Wheel or 18x8 (alloy, 5 spoke), polished Wheel) I did get an email on a used Dull Rim and it is 85.00 with 37.00 shipping for 4 day shipping. If any of you know which rim to order to match the stock rims please help me choose which one.

There is/was a chrome polished rim for the rx8 but it sounds to me that you have the regular one (not polished or dull)

The chrome rims are somewhat rare and there may also be a dark chrome that came with the shinkas but I'm not 100% sure. Either way, yours aren't the polished rims. Try picking up a rim in the for sale/wanted section, people post up stockers all the time.

I wonder since 2 sites i have been on now offer the polished or dull if the dull is there version of the regular silver.

Any ideas?

You want the bright silver.

Shinka editions come with a bright polished 5 spoke wheel, all others come with a nice silver painted 5 spoke wheel.
There is a 16 inch wheel option on the base model that I have never seen.

I dont have a shinka so I guess its the Regular Silver I should go with. I got an email back from one company telling me that the dull is the regular silver 18 inch.

If anyone knows anything else I should know or if they are misleading me with the dull please let me know.
