There are no issues with performance with the size that im running. 235/35....and ill take the look of my back wheels over any 9.5 rims with a wider tire. Its just my opinion and im sticking to it....I do give it up to any body with a rimed up rx8 though no matter what. I admire everyone's 8 whos in the game.. thanks for the advise though!!

I really like the look of my rims with my size tire, I tried 245/35 but it wasnt what I was going for. Performance is awesome with my set up. and I have people asking me about my car all the time. I have seen over doing it before and thats not even close. Thanks for the reply though.

never get sick of the stretched look man.......its what sets your car a part from others....and if people arent paying attention they ask you whats different about your car and there's....and I always tell them its the ties. I love it............ but I can understand how things could get old.

Must be Dunlop Direzzas....I don't think those are stretched, just the style of the sidewall on those tires. I have those tires on my 19's, and my girlfriend has Hankook Ventus. The same size tire, on the same size rim....but her sidewalls go straight up/down from the rim.

Privat 19"s

Here are the Privat 19 inch wheels I bought used from a fellow forum member...
came with Nitto555, 235 width all around... these are just to hold me over until I get the Rays 2 piece wheels I was originally looking at... I think these will do for now, even though I am not a big multi spoke fan...but they actually clean suprisingly easily... Was also able to get the mazda center caps to pop in...
JIC coil overs and rear suspension are coming, so it should look a little better soon... and ride like a fred flinstone car... Rotorgeek's former CarPc is installed, but that's another thread-
enjoy
-C (p.s. yes the tails are the professionally sprayed ones..)

Chamberlin, nice ride man. Either we need to come down to Tucson or you bring some friends north so we can see your ride in person.

thanks guys, it's not the exact look i had in mind, but it is kinda growing on me
Got lots of compliments on the wheels, from car people and non car people...they are dominant feature to the car..which can be good/bad...

and 09, I would love to go up North son too, was planning to caravan to Irvine with you all, but I got a gig that weekend, so no sevenstock ;(

Hey wasn't Suprise where they filmed U-Turn with J-lo and Penn?

P.s. starting a CAR pc thread now in the electronics section...

thanks again,
-C

Dammit, Superior... that's right.... I've only watched that DVD 15 times!! Duh.

Congrats on the mini-rotorhed! I was really looking forward to SS9, but life gets in the way.....this time literally!
