Patchable? Or done for?

I ran into one of those white, domed reflectors on the ground going about ~35 mph. It was raining and dark. I didn't notice any obvious damage after a visual inspection. However, this morning, my tire is flat. There is an obvious tear in the tire in the "2" of the attached picture. Any chance this tire is salvageable?

Bridgestone Potenza RE01R, less than 10k miles

Thanks,
FS

Doubtful it is patchable. More than likely it broke the belts inside the sidewall. From the look from the picture the cut is a few inches long. Most damage to sidewalls will junk a tire.

jl1rx7 is correct , virtually any sidewall damage means the tire is unrepairable. Sorry. Check the fs section here in the forum and see who might have one of these tires you could pick up cheap. But if you need your car back running right away you will need to get a tire locally or sent ASAP from Tire Rack or another wholesaler.

Sidewall impact is never repairable.
