only lower the front of the car
i saw pics of lowered rx8s and i dont like how the back drops...it looks lower than the front. is there anyone out there that only lowered the front of the car? or are there nice springs out there that doesnt drop the back as much as the front if so...how does it ride? look? setup?
my first car was an rsx and i had a good setup where the front is lower and like the look just wondering how it will look on an 8

IIRC most drops DO drop the from more than the rear, or at the very least drop the front more...
Also, I think the front already sits a bit lower than the rear from the factory... I would not recomend only modifying the front, I think it would screw up the ride and handling qualities, and look pretty goofy... Get some adjustable coilovers and you can set the stance exactly how you want it.

Why the aversion to coilovers? You could go with a spring/strut combo, but you wont get the height adjustment you are after and you will get much less consistent results as far as performance.

Get the Tein H-Techs, not S-Techs. IIRC, the H-Techs will lower 1.2" in the front and only 0.8" in the rear. The rear will drop so little that it looks almost like stock height. But then, that's exactly what will give it a forward-rake look, which you (and I) prefer.
(Just ignore the rusty rotors...hahah)

I just checked Tein's website. You got the S-Tech specs correct. However, the H-Tech specs are -1.0" (-26mm) front and -0.3" (-8mm) rear.

Just saying that you gave the specs of S-techs when you say h-techs. I got mazdaspeed springs (.8" all around) and my rears sit almost right, but the front is about 2 finger widths too tall. I'd say the s-techs would be pretty close to perfect.

This thread is useless and stupid !! Theres a thing called the search button on this forum lol. There are many threads on this forum that people have posted about lowering spring and coilovers. Yes there are rx8' springs such as the tanabe gf210 and the tanabe nf210 that make the back look lower than the front. The tein s-tech give the car a nice even drop or **** it just buy coilovers so you can have more adjustability in height and dampening and rebound.

Holy hell. Are you sure you didn't do something wrong? So those are 1.75" drop in front and 1.5" drop in rear? That is far less than 1.5" in the back. Did you put your rear sway bar on wrong, causing it to catch on something? I know that happened to me and it bent an endlink.

When you bent an endlink did you notice your rear not sitting properly?
