I went from the 615's to the 555's. I wish i hadnt. In my opinion the 615's are a better tire and perform better. However they do wear a little quicker onthe street. One set lasted me a summer, but i drove on the street with them ALOT.

Avoid both and go for the 615K. Or the NT-05. Or Dunlop Star Spec. Or Bridgestone RE-11. Or the Hankook RS-3. Or the Advan A048. Or the Kumho Ecsta XS.

let me just add in here, that i just moved and am low on spending cash

looking for the best bang for my buck, and would like them to last more than a few months ideally

i know that the RE-11 and those tires are great, but a little too expensive right now

ALSO: anyone with experience on the nitto Invos?

I woudl have went wiht the NT-05s but tread wear is a bitch ... so i went with the 555's. The two tires do not compare in the slightest (not that they shoudl because they are for two different purposes). THe 615 was a very nice middle ground of the two.

I do think the 615 would be good for ya. They should last you quite a bit.

Kumho Ecsta XS is fairly inexpensive and should be better than the 615.

NT555's are what i am running now. Pretty decent tire for the street, but not sure how it would hold up on the track. They can be found on ebay for pretty cheap depending on what size you need.

RT615's are a waste of money, Go for the new Kumho XS, or Nitto NT05's.

^Yeah...not on a autocross course..or even track day. They will get way too hot and start chunking, and don't provide all that great of grip.

^+1...I'm currently running the rt-615 and when they get very hot, they actually start losing grip. Fortunately, for me anyway, my rt-615's are almost done.

the Kumho XS listed above is a good tire also. The Nitto NT-05 would be really good to, if you can get past the quick wear on the street. Rain might be an issue also.
