Not interested in lowering the car, but would like new shocks...

I am totally happy with the height of the car as it sits now, but would like a softer ride. Not into corner carving/auto x'ing or anything like that. Just used as a DD.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Buy a different car

The RX8 has a pretty soft ride from the factory, do you want it to feel like a Lexus...because it isn't going to.

You are 100% correct, when I bought the car it was soft but over time it seems to have lost that feeling. I noticed that aftermarket shocks are at or below the cost of OEM ones so I figured I would ask for suggestions.

The two most popular shocks for the RX8 are the Koni Yellows, and the Tokico D-Specs. They are the most popular shocks among people who want performance enhancements, not sure how soft of a ride they will give you though.

So true. I sold my stockers on here for like $50 and they were hard to sell. Just put up a WTB thread and i'm sure you'll get some takers.

06Rx8GrL, sounds like the Bilstein HD OE replacement shocks would be a good match for your needs. They won't lower the car by a significant amount, but the Bilstein damping will greatly improve your ride quality.

Google RX8 + Bilstein HD and you'll come up with a number of vendors. People have bought these from Tirerack.com, shox.com and Stranoparts.com

My $0.02.
