New tire available for 225/45/18: Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport

So far, I am totally satisfied. They are much quieter than my nearly shot 8090's, and of course seem to grip like mad. It's amazing to me when taking tight curving on/off ramps, the tires don't even think about squealing for as fast as i feel comortable taking them.
It's been VERY dry here in Georgia, and so wet traction has not been pushed. Overall, they are meeting my goals of a performance/treadwear compromise b/t the 960AS and the re050 poles--especially for the price, which was cheaper than both of those!

Yea, I am still very much learning this car. It is such a radical departure from my lifted 4x4 that I've been driving for the last few years, that what seems "fast" and/or great handling to me, may be **** poor to to other more experienced performance car drivers.
Nonetheless, I'm satisfied to have re-shoed with these for the killer (discounted) price of $507--installed!

btw: how many miles did you put on your 8090's?

I'll never buy directional tires again ,since I don't autocross . I have been running my Continental contact patch tires for 32k miles and still am not down to the indicators.I rotate every oil change. One time in the cross pattern and the next time front to rear . The potenzas that came on the car were shot at 15k and got so noisy, I hated driving it. I tried the avon and the same crap. Worn out at 16k mi. and loud! I'm buying Conti's again.
