New Project: Gold Stockers

Car before:

Gold rim:

On car: Don't mind the color its off a camera phone.

Are you going to clear coat the paint? It should look good on a black car.

I just took the rim I mounted off and clear coated it, the previous pics were without the clear. Will take new pics tomorrow once they dry.

The next time your wheels get balanced the wheel weights will leave a mark.

Yeah I know, I'll just tape it off and re-do it there and i'll have the guys put the weights more on the inside next time if possible.

i'm not a fan of stockers painted any color but, hey, they're not my wheels. powdercoated black are about the only ones i have seen work where i didn't cringe.

looks much better.. black on black is getting so played it almost looks 'cheap' to do it now. i used to do black on black and now im black with gold/polished lip, which is my favorite combo.

Thumbs up

I must say I love gold wheels on an RX-8, but my opinion is a little biased as I previously owned a WRX.

These are my autocross wheels for my '06 galaxy grey RX-8 (gold 18x8" OZ ultraleggeras):

Your stockers look great in gold!
