Has anyone actually tracked the official Mazdaspeed wheels down and purchased them? I've done a bunch of searching and the only thing I've found is the numerous threads that talk about how cool they look and that they are only available in Japan.

I did find the Advan AVS Model 5 wheels that appear to be the same wheel w/o the Mazdaspeed logo. Cost (I've found) is about $575 per wheel for 18x8; weight is 19.5 pounds according to the wheelweights.net database.

Hmm..would it be safe to say that they will be cheaper to buy over in Japan vs. US? If so, I might head over there sometime in the future and buy myself a set to ship over..heh! I'm curious on how much they weigh each vs. the original MS wheels. Price of $200 difference is alot..if I'm willing to sacrifice the strength of the wheels..I don't autoX, etc. to worry about that factor..

Goto japanparts.com
part #145-098-000

I ordered a set...will take about 2-3 weeks to get here. Will post pics then. Including shipping, less than $2200 for the set of four.

Spoke with Graham Ware at JapanParts. Let me know if you need more info. Wouldn't recommend ordering through their website. E-mailing them first gets you a better deal.

Cool. Thanks EXILE. I didn't see them listed on japanparts.com when I checked and didn't think to email and ask them if they could get them.

If my cover band can score a few more holiday parties in December a set of these will be my Christmas present to myself.

They *are* listed...just no picture next to the item description. They also sell the 17" version of those wheels that are less expensive.

I reveived the shipping invoice last night. They will be shipped out Nov 1st...should get them in about the middle of November. Will post lots of pics then.
