New Brake Rotors?
I am going to replace all for rotors on my 8. I have had 6 studs break in the last 6 months. I don't know if it was because my auto body shop overtightened them, which they did. Or if this is a manufacturers defect. I think it is a combination of the two. The 8's studs are really soft. Anyway instead of fixing the studs again and again I think I will buy new rotors with after market studs. My question is, what do you recommend the best after market rotors are? I like Brembo but I don't want to drop 4 grand on a new brake system. I just want replacement rotors. Any help would be appreciated.

Studs are pressed into the hubs.....rear rotors are not even bolted in.....remove the calipers...and they slide right off. Front ones are held on by 2 keeper screws....more to hold the assembly together at the factory than anything else.
So....new hubs....or replace the studs
I know which I'd pick
( check out the prices of the hubs...I think you'll change your mind! )

get rid of the OE lugnuts and lock as they are the problem, replace with quality aftermarket, light coat of anti-sieze on the stud thread, drop the lugnut torque back to 100 lb-ft to account for the lubed studs, problem solved
