Question negative camber

i was drivin home tonite with my buddy drivin behind me in his vw gti. when we got home he told me that my drivers side rear wheel had some negative camber. not too bad, only slightly. im gunna check the bolts on it tomorrow in the daylight, but if thats not the problem, then im gunna hafta bring it to mazda to check out.
i jus wanted to ask u all if this is a common problem. has anyone else had a camber issue on their 8? n if its not the bolts, would the fix be under warranty?

I believe that they will cover alignment under warranty for 1000 miles.

A little negative camber in the rear is a good thing for handling... my Miata had it (and I added more when I had it aligned), and my RX-8 has it slightly. I wouldn't bother with Mazda- the factory alignment specs are usually so broad that they cover a huge range of toe, caster and camber.

FYI - here are the rear alignment specs from the shop manual... as you can see spec calls for negative camber for all ride heights, +/- one degree (pretty sloppy for a spec IMO). Eyeballing mine, I think I have about -1.5* or so.

Negative camber... I'm not surprised. My 2nd gen RX-7 was spec'ed at -1.5 degrees, if I recall correctly.

Yes mine has slight camber in the rear as well. Good to know others have it too, I thought I was seeing things.
