Need Wheel Options.. Pls Help

Hi, i'm in the market for a set of rims for the 8. I'm looking for 19's but haven't decided on either a staggered or non-staggered setup. The problem i'm finding is I can't seem to find many companies that make a rim in that size with offsets for an 8. looking for something maybe +30/+36 F&R or something close. I don't have the money to spend on high brand names like volk and work rims. Is there any companies or rims specifically that you guys can suggest? I'm also ok with used rims and i've checked the forsale section but have had no luck in finding anything that i interests me.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Staggered is not really a good way to go on the RX-8 as they disrupt the well designed balance of the vehicle.

Nineteen inch rims are a good choice for looks, but not necessarily for driveability. A bit harsher ride on uneven street surfaces due to necessitated lower profile (aspect ratio) tires.

Enkei RP03 and RPF1 are very popular, lightweight, relatively reasonably priced rims.

Take a look around Tirerack.com to get some ideas and then visit the vendor's sites here for some great deals.

e.g. http://www.good-win-racing.com/

What's your price range? where are you located as well?? (asking because i'm in socal w/a set for sale ) do you mind knock off's? (i.e. rota, raze etc.)

i agree w/Huey, enkei rpf1's and rp03's are beautiful and at a decent price, but if that's outta your range - your best bet is some knock offs...

Go with the Rotas. They offer very aggressive offsets for a reasonable price.

Yeah, staggered is not a great idea if you are ever going to track/auto-x. You'll get bad under/oversteer. I have 19's and they look so much better than 18's on the 8. I haven't noticed a difference in road feel even though my tire profile is 35.

But you're in good roads and weather Cali, and not New England.

TSW's are decent - were you concerned about wheel weight at all?

well generally performance isnt a hugeee deal for me. Not going to track it or anything. Just spirited driving in the city as a DD thats all. Usually the lighter the rim the more it's going to cost. TSW's are priced pretty well right now. I'm still looking into options though. It's tough cause i want a specific style and offset but hard to find one that matches along with the price as well..

looking at the Tenzo's GF7's with 19x10 +45 in the rear. You guys think this will fit ok? only thing i'm worried about is that it will rub against the strut, or do you think i got plenty of room on the inside?
