wheel/tire replaced - covered under warrantee
Well, after a few days at the dealership... my car is finally back in my garage with a brand new wheel and tire. They replaced it all under warrantee.
Unfortunately I wasn’t able to pick up the car from the dealer until after all of the techs were already gone so I did not get a chance to ask about the other wheels. I'm planning on taking the car back to the dealer either Monday or Tuesday for an oil change so I'm planning on asking them then.
Do you all think they'd want to replace them all just to be safe? I bet they will say... "Well if another cracks, please bring it by...” but I'm going to follow by saying what someone said earlier in this thread.
"What will happen when I am driving down the Interstate at 70MPH and the wheel cracks, possibly causing it to brake apart... and me loosing entire control of the car. God only knows how dangerous that could be, and what could happen".
Anyway, for the most part I am completely satisfied with the work from the dealership. Even though it took me 5 days to get back on the road (wheel and tire had to be ordered), all is well now.
Oh... one more thing!!!....
I noticed a scratch on the lower part of the front bumper, and 3 small dents on my hood all in a line. Like if something was dropped and it bounced 3 times, or if something or someone leaned on it and it caused the hood to be dented. Looks like what hail damage would look like but only a lot less. You could only notice it if you are looking right at it at the right angle.
Now I know that they all weren’t there before, so what should I tell the dealership? I saw them when the car was pulled up at the dealership (sunlight and the way it was hitting the car helped me spot it right away). I pointed them out to the shop guy who pulled the car up. I'm going back on Monday, what should I tell them? I'm sure that they aren’t hard dents to fix so should I try and have them do it... since after all they are responsible for them?
Thanks to all again in advance for all your continuing help!!
