Megan Coilovers just in!
awesome, sounds good. I'm waiting on my flywheel to come in, as soon as it does CRH is gonna come down and install that and the coilovers with me (for a small fee of course). Still better than taking my car to a shop and I'll get to see how to do everything for the next time. What settings did you settle with TruthRX8?
yes, I don't know squat about the subject and have done my best to hide this fact, afterall why else would I be foolish enough to install a Koni 2812 racing coilover setup that will cost you over $4500 to replicate ....
A fool and his money are soon parted..
Dollars don't amount to sense..
...says the guy with the lambo doors
As far as a starting point I hope you didn't start your Konis at full stiff and work down. You know the last half turn isn't even usable right? You're supposed to start at full soft and go from there, most people typically go 1.25 to 1.75 full turns from full soft.

I didn't start my Koni's at full stiff because I knew I didn't want them there. I adjusted them prior to putting them in and have only had to make small adjustments to the front so far.
True, but paying less does not exclude foolishness either. A fancy name, glitzy anodizing, and BS marketing don't make a quality product either. It comes down to understanding the subject at hand. In this particular case a $550 set of Koni double tube shocks with OE-type aftermarket springs are more effective than almost all the glitzed up JDM wannabe crap monotube coilovers. All the serious racing monotube shocks Penske, Moton, Koni, etc. cost a lot because precise control, repeatability, uniformity, consistency, etc. carries a high design & build price. The shock dyno doesn't lie and the proof is out there if you care to look for it.
teamrx8: so what setup would you recommend for weekday commuter/weekend track rx8?
i was thinking of going with megans because I can get them very cheap from an insider.... only little $ more than a set of koni double tube shocks with OR-style springs.... not bad...right?
