Yeah, my bad on the mispellings, typing too fast.
I think the post was was geared for the guy (6th gate) that wants his car lowered (primarily just for looks, didn't say much about wanting track peroformance). Unfortunately to go past 1.4" involves something a bit more extensive than a set of springs. Like the setups that takahashi recommends

first off does hks have an electronic damper adjustment device like the edfc
and secondly, no one really answered my question. you just stated facts that i already know, i know about edfc and like takahashi said, the edfc doesn't adjust hieght, only stiffness of the shock and only on perticullar tien coilovers (i have them on my celica with superstreet coilovers.)

soi'll try again:
should i just get some ground control coilovers and put them on stock shocks or should i splurge and get the tien basic set up and either way wait till later on to get the coilovers, OR sit on the tien s-techs for now and save up for the tien flex coilovers or a similarlly priced setup.

forget every thing just save up and get a good set of coilover, because you need to do alignment every time you change suspension setup. just save up get the coilovers, and after that you need to set the height, alignment and corner weight it.

RX8 and a Truk....
You want your car to handle better? Learn to drive. All the suspension in the world won't make your car faster at the track. I'd bet there are quite a few drivers her who'd smoke even the best-coil-over-equipped RX8 in their stock rx8.
How many of you with aftermarket suspension truly maxed-out the OEM set up? Can any of y'all say the OEM stuff was holding you back? That you'd progressed as a driver to the point where the stock stuff was slowing you down?
Food for thought...

DMP,
You are so right!
Recently I went to a track for the first time and got beaten by a guy by 0.3 of a sec. He is on stock except a half worn out R spec tyres. I am on full set up and track it for the 1st time. He only had 15 years of racing on the track in his bag....
So I conclude: 15 years of driving on the same track = suspension set up

and btw no i am not asking for the car to handle better, i mean yeah it might help a little, but i don't road race or anything, and the car handle really well now, but i do want the car to sit much lower and not have a 3" wheel gap.
so i think i am just going to either get the tien basics for 650 or mabey the meagan racing coilovers for like 1000

Right - then don't worry about performance; there's a good chance you could actualy reduce the car's handling and still be COMPLETELY happy with the car's abilities.
Shocks and springs - those which provide the drop you want, the go drivin

You are kind of right (but in a sarcastic way) though. There is no much fun to buy expensive coilovers if you just want the looks; but it is the way the world rotates....
Good spring and shock combo, like in MazdaSpeed, will be a change for the better.
Yes if you are not careful - it will be a change to the worse... but hey most people DO NOT find the limits of the car's handling.
Chill now

Ok iv just see some of the info on the MS coil overs adjustable from 20 mm to 50mm and have 2 different spring rate increases 80% and 90%. I have been at Sebring Raceway with my cousin's Porsche and we are both going through a few turns on 3 wheels. he just redid his suspension and now has all 4 wheels planted through these turns and pulls from me hard now. so yes suspension does make you faster!!!!
