Mazdaspeed springs
Does anyone have pics of their cars with mazdaspeed springs installed? If you do, would you like to post or link me to the pics? I would appreciate it.
I've been thinking about getting them and it says on mazdausa website it lowers the car about 20mm. I'm guessing its about 0.78 inch. I want to see how low that is on an 8.
I tried searching for the pics...but nothing really came up.
Thanks!

I bet it would be a noticeable drop, but I wanted to stay conservative since I live out in the country and the roads are less than pristine. I have been trying to get them installed for quite some time, but I just havent had the time with school starting back up. I will definitely try to post some before and after pics. Oh I will be installing Koni shocks too though so it might be a little lower than just .8, but I think thats debated on here.

Thanks man......these pics are really what I needed to see. My car doesn't have full mazdaspeed body kit. So when I looked at kwescott's car ....I wasn't sure if the bodykit was making the car look lower than it actually was or not.
But in these pics I can actually see and compare...... although....it's not as low as I expected it to be.....It's still a noticeable drop. I should do some research on other brand springs and shocks...
Thanks!

^ Thanks Gents. The wheels are actually off a Shinka (slightly darker than stock), although soon they'll be replaced with the MS wheels I think. None of those pictures really do the Racing Beat spoiler any justice, but it really looks great on the car imo.

Does anyone have pics of the MS kit installed without the wheels. I'm looking for pics of the spring/strut. Also, has anyone had any issues with noise after instal?

Here are some pics of my car with the stock suspension, and the another from a similar angle after installing the MS suspension. Hope this helps.

The most noticeable difference is the front wheel gap...the rear is harder to notice the change, but it is there. I wouldn't have changed my decision for anything at this point...even with the disputed spring rates which have been found after I already put them on my car. I like the ride height with my body kit, the ride quality feels much like stock, but feels more responsive with the sway bars and slightly stiffer struts.

Apparently there are really 3 versions of the stock wheel. The stock one we know, the "dark chrome" one you can buy from Mazda, and the ones on the Shinka which are sort of in between. I compared them directly to my oem wheels, and there is a noticeable difference, but they're nowhere near the "dark chrome" wheels.

Just installed my set of MS Shocks/Springs last Monday, so I've got about a week's worth of driving on them. Drop is very subtle, so if you want a low look, these aren't for you. I couldn't justify the expense of adding coilovers to the car. Not something I needed. The car feels a bit tighter, with less tendency to squat and dive under braking. Whether that's an improvement over the stock setup, or just the fact that I replaced 4 year old shocks/springs remains to be seen. So far, I really like the difference they've made. Ride quality hasn't suffered at all. I've noticed that it's a bit harsher over uneven/rough pavement, but not anything that bothers me. Smooth pavement, expansion joints, cracks, etc...it seems nearly the same as stock.
This is the first newer car I've swapped the suspension. I've only done it on vehicles I was restoring/repairing in the past.
