The stock tires would fit the Mazdaspeed rims, but why would you want to spend $3K for a set of 18x8 Mazdaspeed rims, when you could buy a better looking set of rims from Volks, Works, or Racing Hart, 19" and with tires? Or you could even by the 18" wider rims with tires and spend less money.
I suggest you shop around and discover more options before plunging in.

Rosenthal has them for $500 each with free ground shipping for orders over $500. That means only $2000 for the wheels which I think is not bad considering they weigh 17.6lbs each. They are the exact same size as stock. The gain is in weight loss and looks, though not much weight is lost for $2000.

Unsprung weight has a big impact on performance - many wheels offered (particularly at a cheap price) can add 5 lbs per wheel over stock ... and that is at the stock wheel size. Going to larger wheel sizes can att 10 lbs over stock at each corner.
5 lb per corner reduction via lightweight / high strength wheels can give the same "butt dyno" impact as ~ 10 hp gain on the drivetrain.
Anyone know how much the stock wheel weighes?

These Mazdaspeed wheels just don't "do anything for me." Hell, the stock wheels are nicer looking than these. I went to a heavier wheel, no doubt about that. I more than made up for the performance loss in cosmetic gains. I won't be racing and my 8 will never see a track, so what the hell. I'm happy I was able to "tastefully" put chrome wheels on this car. It truely looks great! I'll be posting pics of my 8 with its wheels as soon as the weather gets better.
Besides, I'll make up for the performance lost, by installing the Stage 1 someday!

Actually, yes they do take the TPMS sensors. I test fit it. However, I can deal with the light coming on, so I just left the sensors in my stock wheels. I didn't feel like coughing up another $360 to buy an extra set of sensors.

Hmmm....just over 17 pounds a wheel? Just looking for a comparison since im really considering between these rims, and either volk te-37's or le-37's. Anybody know what both sets of volks weight come in at 18 inches? Im not looking for 19's, or 17's. I want to keep the stock rim size with the best reduction in weight as possible for possible track days. Also, if anyone has pics of the gunmetal version actually on an 8 (preferably white lol) please post. Thank you.

RX8 and a Truk....
There are very VERY Few rims on the market which look better than those MS rims. I've yet to see more than 2 or 3 aftermarket rims on an RX8 which look like they belong on the car.
I'd say, Get 'em!

most of the people on this forum wouldn't know a good looking wheel if it ran them over, their idea of good looking is a 24" wagon wheel with spinners or 200 fake bolt heads personally signed by van Diesel hisself
btw, be careful about openly offering to get stuff through the MSM discount, they would consider that to be a big that's what PM is for

They are ok, personnaly I am going with the Axis Hiros or Reverb's, unfortunately they will weigh more than those. And actually most on this board despise spinners and very few want anything larger than 18's. And definately gold on the black!
