Mazdaspeed and Greddy Rear Strut Brace
Has anyone installed both the Mazdaspeed and the Greddy rear strut brace?
I noticed that they connect to different points.
The Greddy brace bolts to the floor.
The MS brace bolts to the top of the strut.
Thinking because of this the MS has more effect than the Greddy

the rears are easy to install...i would reccomend using a xacto knice to caredully cut the carpet...other than that..its an easy 1 hour job.

^ hey post a pic for me of the four bolts needed for install.
i have only one and i wanna make sure its the right one before i go out and buy 3 more.
mine has an "8" on the top

I currently have the Mazdaspeed rear strut brace and noticed a difference also. The difference is felt most under hard cornering like going around cloverleafs at 60 mph
Without any squealing from the tires (stock Potenzas
)
Just seems more consistant and has better traction.
Has anyone thought of combining the two bars before?
N rider89 haven't you replaced your hardware for the rear struts yet?

the only thing im afraid of is cutting to much of the trim off. i'm thinking about taking about the strut, installing the mounts first then cut as little as possible and reinstall the main bar after installing both mounts and cutting a small hole for the trim. do you have any pics of brgreens rear strut?

I have the greddy, don't need to cut any carpet, the back end seems to not bounce around as much but not that big of a difference, it still mounts to the shock towers though, same as mazdaspeed. I already have RB sways so couldn't tell that much of a difference

Lol someone beat me to it, just install both! haha for double the stiffness haha...! I think i'll install the one that mounts higher up.

I have the JIC Aluminum Rear Strut Bar and it attaches at the base. I thought I was getting a bar that attached higher but when I pulled it out of the box it was obvious that wasn't the case. I got a 4pt front brace also and both are very light yet extremely strong once mounted. Can't say I really noticed too much around town other than under extreme cornering which is where we are supposed to feel it.
IMO, I can't see adding a second brace. Just not worth the money to me. I'm looking to add Koni's and RB sway's to give a greater steering reponse. Though there is (I believe) an AutoExe 4pt. rear brace that is available. Maybe you can check that out.

The Autoexe has the same concept as the Ultra 4 point.
I noticed a difference when I installed the front four point bar it felt like the steering was tighter.
The rear helps also.
As for the cosmetics of the bar, should it be polished chrome? The bottom pic was taken during the initial creation of the brace it comes painted or powder coated white.
The trunk is not a place that gets much attention unless there is some custom work done for audio.
