MAXXIS Z1 tires

Just wanted to share my thoughts on these tyres. They are actually made in Taiwan and are considered cheap and not so good. I choose between Pirelli, Good Year and the stock Bridgestone. Mainly I went witht the MAXXIS tires because of an article in a Brittish jap-mag where they won the test.
The tires are under half price compared to the other brands I choose between and belive it or not:

I LOVE ´EM!!!
The grip is freakin awesome on dry and wet road, cold or hot outside.
Maybe something for you to think about when choosing tires (if they are available in the States?)

Interesting. A high performance car magazine here in Australia did a giant high performance tire test recently which included all of the premium (Super Expensive), and the Maxxis performed fantastically in both wet and dry and cost peanuts relative to the others. They finished in the top 3 in a field of 12 tires which were tested in a 235-40-18 size.

Would anyone know the weight of these?

Regards

Petrus... keep us updated as the mileage increases. I'd be interested to see how they perform once they get up there in age.

Thanks!!

EDIT: Just checked and it turns out they dont make them for 19s yet... oh well.

You need to go to their web site.

http://www.maxxis.com/products/autom...ind_dealer.asp

It look like there aren't very many dealers. And the ones that they have are small and far away for me.
