Manufacture replacement Bracket A's for Spare Tire Kit

I wasn't sure where this thread needed to be, so my apologies in advance.

I recently purchased a Spare Tire Kit from someone who did not include the 2 "Bracket A" pieces. They can no longer find them.

I tried mounting the "Bracket B" pieces to blocks of plastic, then wood to the side molding as substitutes, but that did not work for me.

Can someone out there manufacture replacement brackets for me, as Mazda will not sell me just the brackets. If someone can simply sell me those brackets, that would rock, too.

Thanks to all.

Same thing happend when I got a used spare. The seller didn't remove them from his 8. Did you ask them if the A Brackets are still on thier car? Looking of the instructions they do not give part numbers for just the A bracket.

Yup, I asked him explicitly. He insists. I'm quite agitated at this point. Errr.

Try this, Start a new thread " Question to those with rear strut tower bar"

In order to install this part you need to remove the "A Bracket" if you had the spare. You might find someine that has them removed and would sell them to you.

Are these the brackets that mount to the shock tower? I took out the bar and still have the brackets.
