IL Lowering my 8

So I did use SEARCH button but still didn't get what I was looking for. I want to lower my car, right now is stock and running stock rims with 245 tires and thats not going to change this year , at least I dont think so. I want to run Tein S Tech and I wonder what would I need along with putting them on... I know I'm going to need to do alignment. My car is a daily so I drive quite a lot. How's lowering spring gonna affect tires? Do I need to get camber kit? Because getting springs and camber kit is getting bit too much at once..

Be a good idea to swap shocks with the springs. No camber kit required. The 8 has plenty of adjustment. Get 4 wheel alignment.

You won't need anything else.... Just install the springs and get an alignment, a camber kit is not necessary as the stock allows more than enough adjustment for a proper alignment. You will have no problems with stock wheels rubbing either.

The Tein S Techs are a very popular choice they allow you to lower the car without changing the feel of the car too much as the spring rates are very close to stock... I personally choose to go with the Tanabe GF210's previously because the higher spring rate = better performance, I'm now running coilovers though

I didnt like my s techs because they dont lower the car evenly... the rear rides a bit higher and drove me crazy. Sorry I dont have any other spring choices I just went with coilovers.

Hmmm..... Sorry I remember that differently, I thought the spring rates on the S Techs were lower.

But anyway for the OP, Check out this thread it has all the specs for the springs that are available for the 8.

I personally have the exact setup, 245's and S-Techs and haven't had any issues at all and love the setup...just saving for some Tokico's atm.

Tein is our best selling spring for the RX8, most people seem to be very happy with them. H-Techs if you aren't looking to go as low.

I'd save up for some Megan Racing Coilovers if you're not in a hurry to get it lowered. They're not to expensive.

They're not expensive for a reason.
Koni yellows + good springs will overhandle the megans while giving the much loved "lowered" look.

I went with Sprint lowering springs. They had the lowest drop I could find and I like them a lot. very smooth ride and handles like a dream.

It's a very complicated question to answer. I'm old school you know. I'm from the 20th century...this is for the 21st century people to answer (the new kids from the block)...lol
