yeah dude, all you need to do is preload them. let me find the thread for you.
apparently it was my own thread. brilliant...

you want to take a look at this pic near the bottom. these are the front wheels the bolt that his finger looks like it is touching, and its counterpart on the other side are the two that you're looking for. you're going to have to turn your steering wheel from one lock to the other while the car is on the ground and you should be able to get at one of the bolts on each side before having to turn the wheel completely the other way. simply loosen all 4 front bolts and you should literally see the car settle right onto the springs, since right now the car's weight is all on the bolts.
as for how to approach doing that on the rear wheels, not quite sure, but it wouldn't surprise me if you could get at them one at a time by jacking the car up one backside at a time. good luck.

Do the control arm bolt trick to allow the spring to compress before freaking out about the fake spring issue. Work in logical steps. Use process of elimination to figure out what's wrong.

I just got my S-techs installed. So far it's lowered the car an additional 1/2" on all 4 corners. I'm waiting a couple days for them to settle.
So far, I can tell the ride is a little firmer. Girlfriend did not notice anything difference....so far...which is good.

I think the S-techs are 20-30% stiffer than stock. There is an annoying rattle in my dashboard and it has increased since I put in the new springs so I know it's not just my imagination.

according to 3 of my friends, they have S-tech Springs on their 8s, once they lower, it drops like sick, at least the gap disappeared. wondering why mine are not lowering. =/

Hey, those were my springs...I got them from Indy_8 on here but traded for the swift sport ones. I don't understand why people would make fake tein s-techs, they aren't that expensive. They seemed to be authentic, I truly think they are100%. The effort to make them look that legit wouldn't be worth it.
1. You should pre-load them as people have said. This is a very common problem with people who install springs on an 8. The stock suspension is pre-loaded, so if you don't pre-load them they are going to sit higher than they should.
2. I know this sounds dumb, but make sure you have the front springs up front and the rear in the back. This should be pretty obvious.
3. There is usually a little bit of a break in period but you should notice the drop, espcially up front. I think the rear is only a .7in drop so it might be harder to notice at first.

I can ask Indy_8 to chime in here since I got them from him, he insured me they were authentic, they seemed that way to me too.
I haven't installed the swift sport springs yet can't wait to get them on!
