Important Suspension Question!!!!

As we all know, many people are interested in lowering springs, but theres a huge market out there from all different brands....

Im wondering why the Mazdaspeed lowering springs require shocks, yet only drop ride 20mm (.8inches) while if u install the Tein S-tech springs which drop the ride 1.4 inches yet dont require shocks!!!!!!!!!! WHY is this???????

People i NEEEEEEEEED ur help, PLZ. I want to get the MS springs n shocks, but y not get the tein S-tech and save on the shocks? Cause id also like to lower my car a bit more than 20 mm but i want the best springs that provide better handling than the stock springs now?

PEOPLE ANY IDEAS???

THX for the help

Chack out the spring rates.

Tein S Tech
F 207 lb/in
R 145 lb/in

Mazdaspeed Spring
F 280 lb/in
R 190.4 lb/in

Stiffer springs need shocks with different damping and Mazda matched the MS shocks to the MS spring rates.

It sounds like what you really need is to study up on basic suspension fundamentals. Ride height, spring rates and people's opinions of what they installed are all on this forum if you search for it. Being able to sort through BS and opinion are what the studying will give you.
