I have always been a big fan of five star polished rims like the cobra r. The thin risers always grab your eye when a car with them is rolling through a parking lot. the problem is that they only come in 18x9 with a high polish finish. i figured i could throw on some 255x40x18's with a one inch drop. has anyone else been this risky yet?

got a pic? cuz if i'm thinking of what you're thinking... it's ugly... and a wheel meant for a cobra wont look good on a rx8 or any japanese car for that matter :/

this is what i was thinking, polished 18x9, i was going to take the snake logo off the center and replace that with the rotor emblems. its just a thought, i have not made any moves yet. the left is the newer version, but i prefer the one on the right. give me some friendly input everyone

The problem with those rims is they are Fobra R rims. (Fake Cobra) If you want to get those rims you need to get them from Ford Racing. All the knock offs suck. I'm a die hard Mustang guy and don't think you should use those because every single Mustang has those rims and why be like everyone else. They are def. cool looking rims but I think you could do better elsewhere.

I wouldn't for the same reason why I wouldn't sell my OEM 18" rx-8 rims to someone who owns a honda.
