I want to add TPMS - Canadian car.

I have a (new) 2006 GT. As most of you know, Canadian cars do not come with TPMS. My question: Is it possible to add factory TPMS to my car?

I have looked at the shop manual, and have searched the forums without success.

Has anybody done this? What parts would I need? Are the wiring harnesses of Canadian / US cars the same? Would I need to go to the States to get a 'flash' to enable that part of CANbus, or could a local dealer do it?

I am aware of aftermarket TPMS (SmartTire, etc.), but I'd prefer to keep the interior stock.

Thanks!

I don't think so.

I'm sure all the parts except the actual TPMS senders are probably in place, but the feature is disabled in the computer, so it is virtually impossible to get it enabled.

I have the senders in my (US secondhand) wheels, but on a Canadian car, the system doesn't work.
