I think im gonna try 18x10+35 on all 4

I think im going to try

advan rs 18x10 +35 on all 4s im a bit scarred
with a kumho ecsta mx 255/35/18
Run -2 degrees camber all the way around and shave the rear fenders.

if sammytcl can get 17x10 +35 rolling on 255 45 18

I think i can do it!!

I used the offset calculator

it says ill lose 10mm on the inside and will be 40mm wider on the out side so about 1.5 inches outward.

If someone knows this wont work for sure let me know haha.

yeah, he had to run -4.0 deg rear camber

I run 18 x 10.5 +43 all four with a reasonable alignment and it's extremely close in the rear, IMO you'll rub unless you run such a ridiculous alignment that it makes having wide wheels pointless

Yeah, but you have fender work done.

details, details ....

Polak tried 18 x 9.5 +38 with the same tires I have and rubbed in the rear

IMO anything lower than +40 on a 10" wheel is tempting a fender clearance issue in the rear, unless you run an under-width tire which again defeats the purpose

the purpose for me is purely functional; maximum grip,

it's not braggart "look at my parts list" rights or playing out a fantasy fad i.e. typical poseur BS

FYI,

I have 18X9.5 +45 with 275/35-18 and I used to have some rubbing problems. It was very tight. Tire size makes a big difference not just wheel size.

If you went with a 255/35 - 18 (which is smaller than factory diameter BTW) a 18X10 +35 would probably fit but barely. the proper aspect ratio would be 255/40 which would probably rub just a little.

I'm running 18x8.5 with a 38 off set and FK-452's 265/35-18s on all corners and no problems. Lowered 1.4 inches.
Wheel turned all the way in front. I can get 1 finger between tire and inner fender.

Isn't rolling a fender fender work?

Nice it should work. I'm tempted to try 19x10 with a 44mm offset and 285/35/19 or even a 295 tire but I'm not sure that'll work but Ill see. Team?

I have 19 x 10 with 285's on them. There isn't much room there but they fit.

once you get up in that range of tire you have to be worried about it rubbing on inside around the shock area protrusion as well as the outer fender lip, the brand and model tire also come into play; race tires are typically wider than street tires for a given size designation, as does the tire OD

but I know people running 18 x 9.5 +45 wheels with 285/30-18 Kumho V710 DOT-R tires and no fender mods, there's a good chance that 18 x 10 +44 wheel with a low profile 285/295 tire won't rub, but once you get up in this range your on your own in tight territory. The actual clearances from the factory can vary somce, so a super tight fit may be OK on one car and slightly rub on another.

and I don't run anywhere near -3 deg rear camber for racing, let alone on the street

Whats your offset and what height is your tire?

Thanks Team.

so what springs are you going to run or just stock ones? i have eibach's with 18x9.5 +35 on the rear with 265/35's and no rubbing issues and it looks good. No fender rolling or shaving so i think you can go a little more than that especially with stock springs.. i would say you can get away with 18x10 +28 with 255's because i had them... i had the fender cutting into my tire on the rear on bumps and whatnot so go somewhere in between the first mentioned and the second!

19x9.5 +45 all around w/ falken 285/30/19 is safe (i run this with ride height lowered about 1.5" from stock height)

19x10.5 + 45 is what team recommends as max width application.

obviously you'll have bit more clearance with 18" rims.

i'd listen to teamrx8 over others.

alrite guys...i'll post some pictures later today, someone took it when I was at the track, I can prove to you guys that have 3 negative camber is not just for looks, also for handling!

imo, rolling fender is a really minor fender work, I'm planing to pull my fender actually. rolling fenders are not that hard, most of my friends had theirs rolled!

what I'm doing now compare to the guys in japan, mine is really nothing!

you can fit 20" wide wheels on anything if you're willing to modify the bodywork

there's no need for pics, nobody is doubting that your car exists, pics don't prove the validity of your choices, pics don't win races ...
