SSR GT3 would get my first choice.. Then HP Evolution..

if you like the GT3 look and think of going staggered.. AZA wheel has a staggered setup...

By staggered you mean......larger thickness wheels in the back, but same rim diameter ???

18x8.5 front
18x9.5 rear

Axis Supermesh or HP Evo
the timeless mesh style with dish, can go wrong with the body line of the 8

None of the above. Those tiny bolts all around the rim will be a nightmare to try to keep clean! The RX-8 brakes produce a lot of dust as it is, why install dozens of little brake dust collectors?

My advice would be to make sure the rims are as light as you can afford - 18s will be lighter than 19s, and the tires will be less expensive as well. Oh, and to keep the neutral handling and avoid making the car understeer more, I'd stick to the same size wheels and tires all around, forget the staggered look. It's just a look - remember the muscle cars of the 70s with the fatter wheels/tires on the back? Yeah, and Camaros and TransAms of the 80s and 90s often had them as well, but typically the drivers also had mullets and wore tank tops. Yeah, that staggered look is really something to aspire to! :p :D

Regards,
Gordon

how come there is no box for "none of the above"?...ok, edit, sorry. My suggestion is the SSR professor, SSR GT2, or SSR comps.

if you autocross you definitely will notice a big difference in handling...when you place larger width wheels on the back you create more understeer...you can offset it by adding bracing up front, but then you start getting into a physics war....

What is the tire widths you will be going with for both the front and rear?

And I would pick the GT3's.

he bought them through Wheel Max the compant ad is on that first piture. His total was 1294.00 complete balanced and all. This was only Jan.3 you may be able to steill get them regardless of what they now advertise for. As far as the GT3's, they look just like them except they are not really a 3 piece rim and are not as light. The lip on the back is like 6"...They look awesome....I think I'll still get them
