HP Racing EVO wheels w/ Toyo Proxes T1-S
Just dropped coin on these today...will post pics once they're here and mounted up. BTW - I chose the dark silver to match my Titanium 8. Should look awesome!

LOL..yeah that's per package. At $999, you get your choice of Nankangs or Hankooks. And before you go thinking anything stupid....read the title of my post! I got them to upgrade the package w/ the T1-S. All four, mounted and balanced, w/ lug nuts and "handling" for $1399.

You jest...but the brakes will probably be my next upgrade. I bought this car in August of 2003, and I'm less than 800 miles from hitting the warranty at 50k. Tires finally went (with some help) so those are getting done now. Interesting thing was, my quote from the local Bridgestone dealer on Pole Position S03s was only $180 less than this wheel AND tire package with Toyos. Thus, the new wheels.
I've been reading through some of the threads looking for recommendations on brakes. A good friend used an Endless setup on his Evo and swore by them. Any other recommendations?

Nice wheels, but they will NOT FIT. Check the title on that page:
"HP Racing Evo --> Dark Silver [5x112 only] [5 LUG ONLY] "
The RX-8's bolt pattern is 5x114.3, not 5x112.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but better you hear it now than after you've ordered and paid for them.

Finally...wheels and tires are here!
Sorry for the loooong delay. I won't be buying from WheelNext anytime soon again. They shipped my HPs with the Nankang tires on them (not my Toyos, and after waiting 1.5 weeks after placing the order), then made me wait for UPS to come pick them up (another 4 days), then waiting to get them back and mounting the Toyos on the same wheels instead of cross shipping a new set (3 weeks from date of order at this point.)
The kicker is... I get them back (almost 1 month after the date of order) only to find bird **** on one of the wheels, INSIDE the plastic wrapping they used to protect them in shipping.
Here are the pics...

They are holding up well. The difference between the Toyos and the stock Bridgestones is very noticeable. I do think I have at least one wheel/tire that isn't balanced correctly, as I pick up a slight vibration from time to time depending on speed. Guess I'll have to pay to go get them all checked.
Again, I won't be buying from WheelNext anytime soon.
