how will this work

so i have my sound and performance pretty much taken care of and i want to thank everyone who answerd all my questions. so now im moving onto the outside of the car, which i was never really sure i wanted to change anyway. but
.......before i begin let me just say that i know alot of you dont like 20" rims. everybody likes different stuff.... if we didnt all of our 8's would look the same. and i know a couple of you are like "were just tryin to stop you from doing something stupid, wasting money and embarassing yourself..

guys believe me if i see it start to look rediculous i will stop and re-think my strategy.

so this is what im thinking.. i like the GFG tripoli 5's; black center with the chrome hub. i already have the tein basic dampers, i want to lower the car as much as i can... including rolling the fenders. the reason i want the 20" "thin" five spoke rims is because 1. i like the large diameter wheel and low stance look and 2. i am also going to purchase a beefed up brake kit with the wheels and i want a wide open view through the wheel so i can see my investment.

the whole thing is this, i know most 20's make the 8 look like a monster truck or a roller skate. i want to add a body kit as well so i can so to speak, "bring the car down over the wheels". i was thinking on going with the original mazdaspeed for fitment and painting reasons.

im just hoping when all is said and done the cars body kit plus the lowering will fill the gap underneath the car. also i was wondering if anyone has or has drivin an 8 with 20's on it and can tell me if the turning is affected. your general opinion on what width of wheel i can use, offset, tire size, lowering height etc. is greatly appreciated. but for now please hold the jokes.

thanks

rick

Sounds like that you are very concentrated on the exterior look of the car, so I would not bother with performance and handling because all the things you wanted to do will weight down the car, the bottom out suspension and large wheels will ruin the handling.

Don't worry about what people think! If your pocket could afford all those mods, do it as you wish. After all, modification is about showing your personal taste not pleasing other people!!!

Good luck..

Well said. If you ask me what I think, I will tell you. 19's will give you the best of both worlds.
