How to remove wheel caps?

Anyone know an easy way to remove wheel caps? I've never done it before and I don't want to break anything. I bought this tire/wheel stand which feed through the wheel cap whole.

I got some winter rims and am looking at them and it seems that each cap has four tabs that secure it in place. But then, there is this wire going around on the inside of the cap. At this point, I'm not sure whether to just try and push the cup out from the inside or whether I should try and remove that wire. These rims are enkei.

What about the original mazda rims? Same process?

Thanks for the help.
