How do you know if you brakes have worn out
How do you know if you brakes have worn out
Well i opened the hood recently and noticed that the brake oil bottle has level somewhere in between the minimum and maximum level.
The second thing i realized while driving was that when i applied the brake too hard the abs was activate and made a lot of noise but the car just went on going a bit.
So do i need new brake pads. Is there anyway to measure brake wear. I am from pakistan and we don't have mazda dealership here.

take the wheels off and view the pads through the back of the calipers . There should be a minimum of 3mm (approx.) of pad material . Any less than that and you need new pads .
once you know what you are looking at you can tell without taking wheels off .

When you can stop yourself from double-posting!
I don't know if this applies to all cars but the rule of thumb that I got from somebody in my car club is that the friction material should be thicker than the backing plate.
