How do I find tires for these?

I bought my 8 back in December, and it came with the stock rims as well as a set of black rims purchased from this thread:

https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-wheels-tires-brakes-suspension-55/rays-volk-gram-lights-57f-18-x-8-5-cold-forged-wheels-custom-rx-8-hub-bore-114596/

I've looked through that thread and can't seem to find anything about what tires will fit on them. I'm new to this and need a bit of help. I've looked all over the place and can't seem to find out what tires will work with these rims.

Does anyone have any suggestions, or can anyone point me in the right direction to figure this out? I'm not looking for specific brands, there are tons of threads on that, i'm looking for what size I need to get.

Thanks for any help.

I'd go with a 235/40-18 or 225/40-18.

235/35 would be fine, anything smaller and you'll stretch which I'm not a fan of but whatever, a 245/40 would be fine too but you'll start to have more sidewall with anything over 35. Depending on the offset you could go even bigger width wise but a 235-245 is probably the safest thing to suggest.

235-240 = width (the bigger this number the wider the tire
30-35-40 = height (sorta anyway, the bigger the number the more sidewall)

edit: I run a 235/35 on my fronts and they're 8.5 width as well, here's a shot to give you an idea of what it looks like:
(sorry if the pic is too big, but it gives a good idea of sidewall etc on the front)

To be clear I'm not buying tires for the stock rims, i'm buying tires for rims purchased from the thread I linked.

I definately researched and found out what all the measurements mean, I just don't know how to determine what will fit on my rims.

If you look at any tire's specs, it will tell you it's recommended wheel width.

For Example

a 245-40-18 Star Spec has a recommended wheel width of 8" to 9.5" and a rolling diameter of 25.7"

Basically you want to keep your rolling diameter as close to the stock one as you can, and make sure the tire is designed to fit on your wheel, unless you want a lot of stretch, or a lot of tire outside of the wheel face.

I'm curious then, what is the stock rolling diameter? I can't seem to find it.

look up what your stock tires are.

The Bridgestone Re040's were 26 or something. As long as you're close to that, you're golden

It isn't rocket science, you just have to search a bit.
