Hep me choose wheels!!

Hey Guys,

I have been struggling now for weeks deciding on which set of wheels to buy, I have done a lot of research on a lot of set of wheels, but I am still clueless as to which one is the best, or which one would look the best on my car.

My car is a 2007 Stormy Blue RX8... so.. its dark blue, not quite black. I am also deciding on the color of the rims, I was thinking either silver or black, IMO silver would stand out more on my dark blue car, but then again I am getting pressured by friends to get black wheels. Black on Black is hot, but my car is blue not black. I am primarily looking at 5 split spoke wheels, but I am open for other suggestions.

Help me choose wheels! The closest thing so far I come to are the Konig Torch, I am almost very close to getting a set of 18'' of those, in silver. What do you guys think? is that the right decision to make? Thanks for your help.

My car now:

I think silver on Blue is a good combo. Im actually looking for a set of STOCK so i can get em fixed up powdercoated n get em on my 8. Mine came with Mazda 6 wheels because the kid who owned it before me was a moron.

I also am not feeling black wheels on a dark blue car, but maybe if I saw it in person I would like it. I do think gun metal or similar dark gray or dark silver color might look good. You can't go wrong with silver wheels on a dark blue car. I like the Konig Torch wheels. I think they would look good, and they don't look like a heavy wheel. I don't see weights on the Konig site.

What is your budget? A lot of things depend on how much money you want to spend…I also think silver will look good on your car.

Silver would look good for sure? What about other colors? Bronze perhaps?

I would go with silver as well. Black rims on dark cars look like dark blobs most of the time.. So unless you plan on keeping your rims and car clean all the time black rims wont stand out on your dark car. Look at my car i have a Nordic green which is equally dark if not darker. My stocks are black and they're just blobs in most lighting. Good luck on deciding. either way they will look good. Its hard to make our cars look bad haha

Those Konig remind me a lot of my OZ Ultraleggera. Here's a shot of mine before I added the spoiler..

It really depends on the look you're going for. Silver would be flashier, black would be more subtle. Both will likely look great

I am getting mixed opinions, half people think black would look good while the other half think silver would look good. IMO I think both colors will look good. My budget is $1000-1300.

Haha that is true. I saw pics of your car, it doesn't look bad at all. I didn't think your car is green from first impression lol

I do like Stormy Blue with Black but i would say a better alternative would either be Gunmetal or Bronze wheels. I think the bronze wheels on a stormy blue would look super sexy. You can't really go wrong with gunmetal as well. I wouldn't do silver personally, i just don't like the way silver is so bland. If you did a shiny chrome finish like the ones for the RP03's that would look pretty clean as well.
