Gold Wheels on Sunlight Silver? Other colored wheels?

Anyone have good pics of gold wheels on Sunlight Silver? What about other colored wheels like bronze, white or even red?

If you've got a particular set (or sets) of wheels in mind, and a picture of your car, I'll Photoshop 'em on for you.

Cheers!

Ah - Enkei's, and Sunlight Silver. Good taste. :D Just put a set of 15x7 Enkei RPF1's on my Miata, and have been thinking about the same wheels in 18x8 for my RX8.

Here's a quick Photo-chop in gold:

Cheers!

Thanks. These wheels are cheap strong and VERY light.

Not sure about the gold, though. White maybe?

Gunmetal gray would look better. Chrome or machined metal rim with gold spokes might not look too bad. Gold generally works best on black or white cars.

Sorry to bring back an OLD thread, but ive been looking at wheels, I really like the Mazdaspeed ones, but even the cheap MS wheels are 500 bucks each, i dunno if I can justify spending that much on a set of street rims, id rather spend that money on some light 17"s and tires for the track.

Looking at street rims I want something 5 spoke, since i think this car looks best with 5 spokes.

I have a Sunlight Silver, I saw these and like them and the price isnt bad $175ea SHIPPED!

I cant decied the GOLD or the GUNMETAL, but I love the polish lip and 5 spoke...i dunno the weight though.

Gold is a no no on sunlight silver. Something like an anthracite or gunmetal would look good though.

Gold might look good on titanium grey though, probably need a polished lip to transition though.

try the Kazera Kz-a's, they look very similar to the Mazdaspeed's and are way cheaper, they have them in black, silver, and crhome though so that might not be your pref.

Looks like they also have black/polished lip coming out soon.

I think these are the wheels I will get, in Gunmetal.

I do like the KA's but I want to get gunmetal I think. and those HPs in gunmetal with a polished lip are a good looking wheel. The price I quoted for 700 shipped was for the gold ones on EBAY, its a wheel shop in miami, same place I got the wheels for my miata, they might make you the same deal with the gunmetals.

Gold and Silver should only be traded on a commodities exchange to make a profit, never paired between rim and car

i love the combo, but after thinking about it, IMO its the kind of thing you can pull of in a GT race car, but not on a GT street car.

Same thing with the older merc-benz racing, silver with bright orange stripes/wheels. looks good on a ALMS car, but not on a street car.

oh well, gunmetal and silver is a classic combo.

I guess it depends on age and what you may have actually seen. I recall back in the late 70's seeing a beautiful frost white Porsche 911-s which had rims with chrome edge and gold wire-style spokes. It was immaculate and drop dead gorgeous. I also recall seeing the world champion Formula One John Player Special Lotus cars which were jet black with gold accents; also drop dead gorgeous.

I think a white RX8 with the same style wheels as that Porsche had would be a good looking combo. It would also be interesting to see a black one with a JPS Lotus scheme on it. Red/white/gold would also be a good combo if done right ala the formula series Ferraris. I just might try doing a Photoshop mock-up just for kicks. :D

Don't mean to steal your thread, but since there are photo choppers here...

I've been searching all over the net for a Black 8 with gold CE28N wheels and can't find one anywhere... So I swiped a nice clean pic of a Black RX-8 out of the calling all briliant blacks post (sorry if this is your car) and a good pic of a gold CE28N. Now can one of you do the magic so I can see what my car will look like if I go with this wheel combination...

Thanks in advance...

gold and white
gold and red
gold and black
gold and blue

I think all those look good

I think silver gunmetal...silver and black is to much of a contrast, just like black and black
