general exclaim UHP for my 8 help!!
I need a set of tires to replace dunlop direzza dz101, which they sucks in the rain and in miami it rains whenever the weather pleases. I don't autox, I just want to keep the awesome handling and more grip on the rain. what do you think about the general exclaim UHP? they are cheap!!!
Thanks !!

I put some on a 350z I had and did not like the soft sidewall. I really like the BFG G-Force Sports I have now in 245/40/18. They were not much more expensive than the Generals when I bought them.

I have these, I went from Yokohoma to these as they were cheap. It really depends on how you drive. I mainly use my car to drive from work to home and interstate sometimes, I like these tires so far. They are much quieter and will last longer. Sidewalls are not as stiff, but I dont autocross so I did not feel a big difference for daily driving. So if your driving is similar to mine, i am sure you will like how good the tires are for the price. BTW I have had them for almost 1500 miles now. Its rains quiet a bit in NC and they are pretty good and dont hydroplane.

The Generals are an EXCELLENT, cheap street tire. I have them on my street rims and I love them. The complete set of two 275/30r19 and two 235/35r19 cost less than half as much as any comparable tire.
I wouldn't Auto-X on them - the sidewall is a bit too soft and the compound is a bit too hard.

I have these on my street tires too. In addition to what the folks above said, they are lighter than stock, and wears slowly. I only notice the difference right after I swap from my Dunlop Direzza dz101 autox tires.

finally, the exclaim are on, all of you were right about the soft sidewalls of the tire, but I'm surprise of the extra grip over the dunlop dz101, more confortable ride, and less noise (opinion is subjective ). I'm happy with my purchase. Thanks all of you guys!

Well hopefully someone still checks this thread. I also just bought these tires. Wanted to know if anyone has or had these on their 8 and if so what tire pressure did you keep it at? I am looking to set it higher since now we are starting to get more into spring. The max PSI is 51 but wanted to know a good PSI for just normal driving but also handles well if there are spurts of aggressive driving while maintaining the tire. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I have this tires on my car right now, when the tire shop put them on, the tires had 48 psi, the ride was harsh and poor handling quality. I checked and set them to 35 psi and got an alignment done and that fixed it, sweet ride again!!!!! No more than 36 psi I would say.

I used to have generals and I liked them better than my current falkens. I used to run some of the more high end brands and as these other guys said the generals are half the price and slower treadwear.

Right, I would never go as high as the max PSI. I was thinking somewhere around the same PSI as you all have said though. Somewhere between 35-37 for good driving?
