Finally sorted my calipers out.

Painted my calipers silver, to go the the subtle effect of the Titanium of my car.

Painted the rusty rear hubs and rear disk plate, and logo'd the front calipers.

Hope you like.

Regards, AnilS.

Many thanks gents. Over here in the UK, there doesn't seem to be too many of us painting the calipers as in the States. Don't know why really?

Do you guys also have your rear hubs (the bit the alloys bolt to) going rusty?

Yes, my rear hubs are terribly rusted! They look horrible!

How did you paint yours? Pro? Or yourself?

Steve, dealer tried sorting it by powder coating it, but it only stayed rust free for one month.

I took the alloy off, painted in with Hammerite (smooth finish) sliver paint (the paint is also a rust inhibitor), replaced the alloy and drove it before the paint dried. This allows the rear pads to clean the excess paint off to give a nice finish.

AnilS, so did you remove the rust before applying the paint? Or, did you just apply the Hammerite right on top of the rust?

AnilS, exactly which paint product in Hammerite did you use? I want to order some.

Thanks!

No, leave the rust on. It "needs" the rust to key on. If there is excessive rust wire brush it off first.

Steve I will post a pic of the paint pot with the details on, as soon as I can find where my 6 year old has left/lost the camera.

Talking New Rotora Rotors

Got these From Vivid racing, I figured if I'm going to paint the calipers and rotors to get rid of the rust I might as well upgade a little. The nice thing about the rotors is they come painted already, both sides and the outer perimerter. The problem was the paint was black, so I repainted just the part you see to match the rim color. I really like the way it looks and there is a definate improvement in braking. Here are some before and after pix.
