If for strictly racing 17" rims will help with weight a bit & with gearing. But for Daily driver / street use ... bad idea. Will add a lot of untrue miles to the car ( over time ) Also the 17" rims wil not be allowed in SCCA stock class.

There's no problem with odometer readings if you use the correct profile tire to bring it back up to the rolling radius. 17" wheels generally fit fine; whether it's a preference you like is a whole different question.

yeah...it is my daily driver...like all of us in here...but i don't drag it..but I would like a faster time...so maybe if I want that...i should keep it fac. and just get gears...but they are so expensive.

Get 22"s They are extra light and they are the best for the track!

But i would just try to find some lightweight 18" wheels. 17"s are good and all, but they don't look as good on the 8, unless your a track addict.

17" gives an ugly gap unless you go with tall tires. just use stock 18"s and get a pair of sticky 245/40 Dunlops for the rear.
