Factory Brakes - Materials Question

What are the factory pads on an 8 ('04) composed of? I'm putting on a set of Dunlop Winter Sport M3's yesterday and wondering what I'm breathing in when the brake dust cloud appears in the garage as I bang on the stuck factory rims. Is there any asbestos in these pads? I haven't gotten any definitive answers yet as to what the actual ingredients are.

Any ideas?

Breathing in asbestos once or twice in your life isnt going to give you cancer. Dont worry about it.

I live in the asbestos capital of the world btw. No worries from me.

I don't think they have any asbestos anyways, just trying to find out what is in them. I can't find anything anywhere, so far.

Wow, Manville NJ?! Is "Frank's Chicken House" still in existence??

If you haven't already you need to get the newer pads courtesy of Mazda they put off less dust and no squeal.

Franks no longer exists. It is now Delilas Den. They bought it out. There are 3 Delilas as far as I know. Philly, South Amboy, and Manville. Its cleaned up a lot and the girls are better looking. No more Russian prostitutes though.

How do you know Franks?

Too bad about Frank's. I used to do some work in Harrison and Edison for PSE&G. The NJ guys we were working with took us out to Frank's several times. The first time was great. They told us it was just a place to eat. Those Russian prostitutes were the hottest... I thought the church across the street was a nice contrast.
