Drag Company Aftermarket Wheels
Drag Company Aftermarket Wheels
Not drag racing, Drag the aftermarket wheel company. Did a search and I can't find anyone on this board that has talked about them or own them???
I just recently heard of them, their wheels look aesthetically good but the prices are ridiculously low. I'm not expecting lightness or performance but for street looks these seem a good option. My driving consists of short jaunts around town (I work from home) and would like something that looks good for when my car is not on the track. Is there anyone that has any of these?

Cheap heavy crap.
Friend of a friend blew one up on a pot hole ('04 Civic running 215/40R17). Finish only lasted about 1.5 years before it started oxidizing and looking like crap.

if there not volks, works, ssr,ect there junk. come on guys dont hate cause you paid more for a wheel that looks the same!!! its not like he's racing the car everyday and im sure that those are lighter than stock wheels so you can basically call it a upgrade!!!!
That first set only has a 7 inch fitment I believe. So....dont. Also...look at the offsets on these wheels...I dont think they make anything close to what the 8 should be running.
I don't mean to sound like an elitest. I do like some cheap wheels.
I am guilty of liking the Sportmax 962. I would never run it on an RX8, but I think they're really nice for the price.
I just have seen one bad experience with these wheels and that is enough to not like them.
But I wouldn't trust a brand that is only sold by a NATIONAL chain. If you like them, run them. I'm sure people will flame -- but it's your car, not ours.
If I were you I'd run the drags on the smartcar in your avatar.

Here's where I show my ignorance: the one I am looking at (DR-18) is a 7.55 width. The tires I run are Goodyear Eagle F1 GS which say they fit widths 8-9.5. I'm wondering if I'll have a problem with a 7.55" width rim??? Also, I am clueless about offsets and what they mean. I guess I need to do some educating to get that part.
Maybe you should cut down on the caffeine!!! Or is the exclamation point key on your keyboard just stuck!!!!

For what it's worth, that's half an inch narrower than the factory wheels. While you'll probably never notice the difference on the street, it seems wrong to me to put narrower wheels on a performance car and call it an upgrade. But, it's your money.

I had a set of Drag wheels on my 240sx... dont ask the tire size but they were 18'' rims... and they took a beating... yes they were a bit heavy.. but driving around Boston and Worcester and all the potholes they went through never cracked or bent.. I cant say anything on the longevity of the finish though... the 240 was stolen 6 months after i bought it..
