Another option, although not cheap, but it has the advantage of availability over the SSR's is to get some 18x10.5 TSW Nurburgring or Interlagos wheels with the 65mm offset and 5x4.75" bolt pattern and run some 3/4" thick bolt on adapters. Not ideal, but they're available off the shelf.

while they aren't on completely stock mustangs except the very new models with their 19's and 20's, they are found on some late 90's to late 00' model saleen, cobra, svt models. most seems to be 18x10. ford racing oem upgrade wheels are also quality wheels and rx8 offset friendly. most attractive to me would be ford racing wheels on "boss" mustangs 18x10.5 +45 which can be had used for $1500 with dot tires. they are made by bbs and looks ok.
mustangs have had tens of different model designations over the years. everytime I look for mustang wheels, I end up with yet new model.. "laguna seca" is another model with our offset. More importantly, many people sink high dollars into their mustangs and naturally to their wheels with our offset. I've seen hre's, ccw, and iforged wheels in our offset that came from mustangs although they usually ask for high dollar. with all the time wasted, I should've just bought a new set, but i personally enjoy the search.
alternatively, you can go to those wheel importers popping up in california and have them rebuild a wheel for you with our offset for $2000-2300.

Did the 18x10.5 +43 fit without even a roll?
